Hand-crocheted rattle with a Pixie figure on a wooden ring, made from organic cotton and filled with recycled polyester.
The rattle is part of Sebra's Pixie Land collection, a collection that tells the story of miniature creatures and the many joys of the forest floor. This rattle in the shape of a Pixie character with a mushroom hat and leaves is crocheted by hand from organic cotton. There is a little bell inside that makes a sound when the rattle is shaken. The rattle is also filled with soft, recycled polyester, which is securely enclosed in a small fabric bag, preventing the filling from oozing out between the yarn. The Pixie figure is attached to a wooden ring, half of which is covered with the crocheted material so that it looks like the Pixie figure's clothes. Thanks to the wooden ring, it is easy for the child to hold the rattle in their hand. The Pixie character has a smiling face and wears a red hat that resembles a toadstool and leaves as part of the clothing. Many of the negative environmental impacts associated with cotton production can be reduced or even eliminated by growing organic cotton. Information on the recycled polyester filling The filling is made from 100% recycled polyester from plastic bottles that have been collected, cleaned, shredded and remelted to make new recycled fibers. This gives the plastic bottles a new life instead of just ending up as waste.
