The bowls are made in Denmark and are made of bioplastic with added wood fibers - a food-safe material with a lower carbon footprint than pure fossil-based plastics. MUMS is the Danish term for YUMMY and is often used for things that look, smell and feel good - and that describes the MUMS series perfectly! The series consists of cups, plates and bowls in four different colors. Wood scent - a series with a clear conscience. MUMS children's tableware is designed and manufactured in Denmark. The series consists of children's bowls, plates and cups designed for families who appreciate simplicity at the dining table but also welcome a playful touch. MUMS is designed for families with children, but above all for the children themselves. They are curious and playful from birth and do not value clean lines, aesthetics and minimalism. So of course there should be room for an elephant in the middle of the dining table! The classic Fanto elephant from Sebra adorns every piece in the series. What is the bioplastic in MUMS made of? The bioplastic is made from bio-based raw materials, i.e. parts of plants. Corn was used for MUMS. Why are wood fibers added to MUMS? The bioplastic benefits from the versatility of the plastic, and the addition of wood fibers reduces the amount of plastic. This means less CO2 compared to a pure bioplastic product or a petrochemical product made from e.g. crude oil or natural gas. Will new trees be felled for the addition of wood fibers to MUMS? No, they are not. The wood fibers used are a by-product of wood production. Is the bioplastic in MUMS CO2-neutral? No, but the bioplastic itself does not emit any more CO2 when it is burned than the plants in the field absorbed during cultivation. Compared to fossil-based plastics, bioplastics have a significantly lower impact on the atmosphere. The energy required for production and transportation is also included in the complex CO2 balance, which is of course a burden, but this also applies to plastics made from crude oil or natural gas. How do I dispose of MUMS after use (e.g. due to wear and tear or changing needs)? The MUMS series must be sorted as hard plastic for recycling. Recommended age: 4 months+ Cleaning instructions: The products can be put in the dishwasher - in the top rack. Clean the product before first use. For the safety and health of your child. WARNING! Only use the product under adult supervision. Check the product before each use. Dispose of at the first sign of damage or wear.
