Caring for kapok As the nursing pillow is filled with the super soft and natural kapok fibers, it is important that you follow these care instructions when washing and drying if washing or drying the product is necessary. Washing instructions: Always wash the nursing pillow alone and only at 40 degrees to protect the kapok fibers. Choose a short wash program and avoid additional rinsing or soaking as this can damage the kapok fibres. Choose a wash program with extra spin or run an extra spin cycle after washing (preferably 1200 revolutions) to get out as much water as possible before drying. Use a gentle detergent without bleach or enzymes. Do not use fabric softener. Drying instructions: After washing, the nursing pillow must be dried immediately. Please note that it takes some time for the kapok fibers to dry properly. Dry the cot bumper separately in the dryer. We recommend using wool dryer balls, as these help to shorten the drying time and also ensure that the fibers do not clump together. Select a medium temperature program and dry the bed bumper for about 30 minutes at a time, after which you can feel the product. If the product still feels slightly damp, remove it from the dryer and allow the last of the moisture to escape by placing the product in a warm place, for example in a room with underfloor heating or on a clothes horse.
