The cot bumper may only be used when the base of the crib is raised to its highest position and the laces must be tied and adjusted with a knot on the outside of the crib. For safety reasons, do not tie a bow. The cot bumper must be fastened with tied knots. If the cords on the underside of the cot bumper are not used, you must cut them off completely so that the baby cannot come into contact with them.
